This directory holds the example programs to accompany the SDR: Simplified
column in QEX magazine.

This update is for the July/August 2009 column.

You have probably noticed that using Linux and its associated tools is
difficult at best. That is part of my mission for the SDR:Simplified column:
make it easier for you to use the tools.

I have not found the header file for the SPI driver
nor have I verified that the driver is actually part of the uCLinux on
the Stamp board. The tool you need to uncompress the files on the Stamp CD
is not on the CD and it is not compatible with Windows ZIP.

I have put together demonstration files for the SPI driver for the AD7674,
a really short filter program, and the output function for the DAC08. This
program has *not* been tested.

Please check back over the next 4 weeks or so for updates. You can also email
me at rmack@arrl.org and I will add you to my email list of updates. I also
welcome requests for specific topics to be covered in the column.

I started the column without a lot of infrastructure in place ahead of time.
Once I can get the development system set up so you can
just load everything, I plan to add a web page on my personal ISP account
so that I can get updates out to y?all as soon as I get them complete. Those
web pages will also get put on the ARRL site in some fashion.
